One of my favorite realizations over the last couple of years is discovering how much I do enjoy pink. This painting was so much FUN to create and indulge in! As with every color, there is so much room - from light blush to a deep, juicy magenta. I appreciate how the transparent, jelly-like layers contrast with the velvety opaque marks.
The creation process here felt so light and fun and free - and of course, you need some neon pink elements to really tie it all together in a full celebration of the color!
In all my paintings, you’ll see final marks made with charcoals, pastels, and even scratches made directly in the wet paint. What’s your favorite detail element?
