Father's Day

It turns out that Father's Day is kind of a big deal around here these days - especially since we welcomed our son this spring.

I found a silly gift for my husband, and the gift he wanted (tools)... but I knew I was looking for something more: a personal gift that meant something, and hopefully I could use my photography skills too. Boy am I lucky to be surrounded by such awesome friends and mamas!

Several friends from our birth center were also looking for a meaningful gift, and found a great idea on Pinterest. Let's take pictures of our littles holding the letters D, A, D and frame them! I immediately volunteered my services as photographer, and we picked the place/time. Krisann brought tons of fun props and Aubrey brought the letters and pulled everything together. Every mama brought a little outfit for their babe, and we had a great time playing, talking and catching up while we snapped the pictures.

Visit Aubrey's blog to see some of the final products! Love them!

While processing the images, I noticed a funny little quirk: something about that A was delicious! Seriously every babe old enough to sit on their own would hold the letter D, but just had to stick the letter A right in their mouth!

Who knows why? I just know it's adorable. :)
