Summer Flowers
One of my long-favorite things to photograph is flowers. When I first got my DSLR camera, I bought myself bouquets to practice getting my focus, exposure & aperture just right. I'd turn the flowers this way and that, change out the backgrounds, shoot indoors and outside - and just felt at peace.
Flowers are friendly. Quiet. Still. Beautiful.
This is all still the same, but these days I get a hefty dose of toddler-crazy added in. The exact opposite of flowers. Noisy. Fast. Still beautiful, but not nearly as cooperative. :)
Alan surprised me today by bringing home a bouquet - just because. Not only was I touched by the gesture, but I truly appreciated the ability to tap into that peaceful, beautiful headspace again.
