About
Let’s see… where to begin?
An Arizona native, I'm a financial professional by day and a mad-about-photography girl the rest of the time. Recently married to my hunky husband and enjoying the heck out of our day-to-day life with our pup Zoey, I'm excited to have the opportunity to capture photographs for family, friends and clients.
I’ve always loved taking photos. For many years I had a trusty point and shoot that I toted around the world, but I didn’t pay much attention to ‘making’ a good picture. I just hoped that the camera would be charged when I needed it! When I traveled to Japan in 2005, I had a lot of time to explore and really think about what I wanted my images to convey. When I grew out of my old camera, I took the plunge and purchased the Nikon D3100 DSLR* at the beginning of 2011. I currently shoot with a 35mm, 55-200mm or an18-55mm kit lens.
There isn’t much that I don’t like to take pictures of. By far, my favorite session is capturing the love between family and friends. Luckily, my own family contains many willing subjects! I also enjoy shooting architecture, nature, and pets. For 2012, I hope to learn more about food/drink styling and photography as well as the intricate nature of Speedlight and off-camera flash. Bring it on!
