Normally it's hard for me to keep a secret. I'm just so excited about whatever it is, I want to share. Luckily I have the skill to pull some reserve from deep down inside for important events. :)
One of my very best friends had no idea that her boyfriend had already purchased a ring and set a plan in motion to pop the question. My husband and I were in on it the whole time, which helped make sure that Monique had one of the best surprises ever!
We all (very nonchalantly) decided to go for a hike. Since this is a pretty regular occurrence, we didn't seem to tip Mo off at all. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the South Mountain park, the gates were already closed!
(insert mild heart attack here)
We quickly regrouped and made it to Papago Park in enough time to hike to the top of a hill to enjoy the gorgeous views of Phoenix... and the romance of the proposal. I am so lucky to have been a part of this truly beautiful evening. Thank you again for having us, Jon and Mo!
